Guitar Club is a weekly workshop and jam in Brunswick East for guitarists wanting to build repertoire, improve their playing, and make music with others in a relaxed and inspiring environment.
Focused on styles ranging from Latin jazz, gypsy swing, and jazz standards to contemporary tunes, each 1 hour and 45 minute session begins with a workshop led by Nathan Slater. Explore the week’s tune through practical approaches to comping, rhythm, improvisation, and ensemble playing in an inspiring, hands-on group setting.
The session finishes with a group jam where everyone can put ideas into practice, gain confidence playing with others, and connect with a community of like-minded guitarists.
